It’s extremely rare for me to finish a beauty product. Finishing a Vaseline tub is as rewarding as finishing a marathon (don’t pretend it isn’t) so all these products that I’ve scraped every last bit out of are either something I’ll never buy again or it’s my 10th time purchasing it.
Pixi Concentrate in Brightening Peach // £14.00
I think this is my favourite make-up product in the world (Sweeting, G, 2017). I hate my dark circles and this does such a fantastic job of neutralizing the crazy colours I have living underneath my eyes. It’s a thick cream that needs warming up a bit for blending and it works well underneath foundation and other concealers. It lasts a long time, it’s good value and I have no plans to try any other brightening concealer.
NYX Angel Veil Primer // £13.00 for 30ml
NYX for me is hit and miss. This is a hit. I bought it after Manny MUA (fave) swore by it in about 4 of his videos and since then I purchased it, it seems to be on waitlist every time I visit Cult Beauty. It’s fantastic value and don’t let the white cream put you off, it spreads clear and provides a fantastic matte and oil-curbing primer for your make-up.
Jason Thin to Thick Volume Conditioner // £8.99 for 227g
I first picked this up when I was having a mooch around Holland & Barrett and even though it’s extremely difficult to get the product out (I attached a separate pump) it’s the best cruelty-free, organic conditioner I’ve ever used (full review coming soon). I have extremely fine hair and even my hairdresser noticed that it was more full after using it so I definitely know it works. I’ve used 3 bottles so far and don’t plan to stop.
Anastasia Beverly Hill Brow Wiz in chocolate // £15.50
I have nothing else to say about this but it’s the best brow product I’ve ever tried and ABH is the queen of brows. Probably my 6th one and it helps shape/feather them perfectly.
Gerard Cosmetics ‘Slay All Day’ Setting Spray’ // £14.50 for 100ml
I jumped on the setting spray band wagon with this fabulously named product from Gerard Cosmetics and I’ll definitely be re-purchasing this again but perhaps in another one of their scents. The nozzle sprays out a good consistency of liquid and isn’t too wet. It dissolves quickly and it really helps fix all your make up in place. I only use this if I have a full face on but the bottle ran out way too quick!
Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser // £12.60 for 28g
I bulk order these in sets of 5 (the website linked is my favourite/cheapest) and they’re the best thing to wash your brushes in. Just swirl it around in the soap and warm water and you’ll quickly have clean brushes. Yes you could use baby shampoo which is hella cheaper but this stuff works way better and the Sephora lady tempted me into buying it so…
Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner // £16.95 for 225g
This came in a Lush gift box and to be honest I probably wouldn’t have bought it individually as the thought of applying this then having to wait for it to settle into my skin was too laborious for me. However I’ve finished the tub and gone back to buy the full size as this leaves your skin moisturised for a full 24 hours and the application isn’t as bad as I thought. The essential oils smell so luxurious and your skin is soft and supple.
Natio Ageless Firming Night Cream //£15.20 for 45g
I’m not sure why I bought this…I don’t really need firming creams just yet and it didn’t last that long. The consistency is nice and refreshing but it didn’t really do much for my skin so I won’t be re-purchasing.
