Benefit Cheekathon Palette

cheekathon palette and brush

Whoever was at the Benefit counter in House of Fraser Guildford the other day had the easiest sale! My Mum and I are huge Benefit fans and we darted towards this product and went to the till with it in about 15 seconds. I am a big fan of the Benefit blush and bronzer boxes. It was one of my first make-up purchases when I started experimenting age 15. Now that they are all (except 2) in one palette…well…I couldn’t be happier! It retails at £44.50 but I got it for £34.50 if you buy another product and as my Mum wanted the Talk Flirty lipstick it worked out perfectly.

I would of thought for the price of the palette it would have less product. However I checked my single Benefit Hoola box and there’s the exact same product in the palette as there is in the individual boxes. If you take all 5 of the individual boxes they retail at £177.50 and for the same amount of product in the Cheekathon product you pay £44.50 so saving £73. Yes please!!!

When you slide it out of the gorgeous packaging and open it up you get a How-To insert which isn’t that useful but it has pretty pictures! I use the brush for bronzer only as it really works when contouring under the cheekbone. For applying product to cheeks I use a Real Techniques blush brush or the Benefit blush brush pictured in the first image.

Dandelion 0.25oz This is my go to girly pink flush blush (try saying that 3 times over!). It’s especially flattering on pale skin as it is cool toned. I like to build this one up depending on how heavy my base is but I usually reach for Dandelion when I’m wearing little to no make-up.

Hoola 0.28oz This is my all time favourite Benefit product and bronzer. I’m yet to trial the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil but Hoola rivals everything I’ve tried. This a matte, cool toned bronzer, which is perfect for overall warming up the face and with a stronger application can be used as a powder contour.

Rockateur 0.17oz You can just tell by the photos this is a crazy blush! It’s pattern and shimmer stands out from the rest and it’s not like any other product that Benefit sells. I have to have a very light hand when applying this as a blush, or I end up looking like a disco ball, so sometimes I layer this on top of Girl Meets Pearl liquid highlighter for the prettiest highlight.

Dallas 0.32oz I’ve had this a while and I find this reddish bronzer is fantastic with a tan. It has just the right amount of shimmer so it can still be used as a bronzer and it gives a true glow to the skin. I also use this on my eyes when I do a bronze smokey look.

Coralista 0.28oz A peach/coral coloured blush with shimmer perfect for Spring and Summer. A good dupe for this shade is the Milani Luminoso blush however that one is a bit darker with less shimmer.

Thank-you for reading! Have you bought this palette or got any of the individual Benefit boxes?
